Maruti Suzuki India Limited hit its best-ever monthly sales in October 2025, reaching a total of 2,20,894 units. This strong achievement came mainly from festive-season buying and continued love for the brand’s small cars and utility vehicles.

Domestic sales set a new record at 1,80,675 units, which included both passenger vehicles and light commercial vehicles. The company also sold 8,915 units to other manufacturers, while exports touched 31,304 units, showing Maruti Suzuki’s steady global demand.

In the domestic passenger vehicle segment, Maruti Suzuki sold 1,76,318 units in October. The compact car group, which includes models such as the Baleno, Swift, WagonR, Dzire, Celerio, and Ignis, brought in strong numbers with 76,143 units, proving that small cars remain a favorite choice for Indian buyers. The Mini segment, featuring the Alto and S-Presso, added 9,067 units, reflecting stable demand from budget-conscious customers across cities and rural areas.

What fueled the big growth in utility vehicles?

The utility vehicle lineup remained one of the main growth engines for the company. Models like the Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, Victoris, and XL6 together delivered 77,571 units. This shows how Indian buyers are shifting toward SUVs and MPVs that offer more space, comfort, and advanced features. The Eeco van added another 13,537 units, while the Super Carry light commercial vehicle contributed 4,357 units to the monthly total, further strengthening Maruti’s market share in multiple categories.

How did October sales show market strength?

From April to October of the current financial year, Maruti Suzuki’s domestic passenger vehicle sales touched 9,71,764 units, and total domestic volumes, including OEM and LCV sales, reached 10,60,866 units. Exports during the same period stood at 2,38,763 units, bringing the company’s overall sales for the first seven months of FY26 to 12,99,629 units.

These record-breaking October numbers underline Maruti Suzuki’s strong position in the Indian automobile market. The festive-season boost, paired with consumer preference for fuel-efficient and feature-rich models, continues to support the brand’s growth. The success of its SUV lineup has further strengthened its leadership across all key vehicle segments.
